Welcome to Nailed by Carmella. I am Carmella, a fully qualified, experienced, and insured nail technician based in Little Billing, Northampton NN3, just five minutes from Weston Favell shopping centre.
I have been awarded UK Hair & Beauty Awards 2026 'Highly Recommended Winner' in four categories for Nail Technician of the Year, Best Home Salon, Best Gel Nails and HBA Rising Star, which I am immensely proud of, as these awards not only celebrate my nail work and attention to detail, but also my cosy and welcoming home salon and my journey within the industry too. I am also extremely proud to have been selected as a Finalist in the UK Women’s Business Awards 2026 and the UK Small Business Awards 2026! I’ve been selected from thousands of business owners and businesses to compete in the Grand Final and represent Northampton for Beauty Business Woman of the Year and Best Beauty Business.
I first qualified as a professional nail technician over eleven years ago, and I am delighted to share my passion and be able to offer you a range of salon services including soft builder gel (BIAB), hard builder gel, gel manicures and pedicures, and creative nail art, using the best quality professional products which are HEMA and TPO free. I have kept up to date with my certifications and new techniques and trends in the nail industry over the years, with full qualifications in nail enhancements, nail technology, manicures and pedicures which I proudly display in my salon. I continue to learn new techniques to provide the best professional service to my clients, and my mission is to provide a relaxing and welcoming space for all your nail care needs. I specialise in providing bespoke nail designs to match your special occasion outfit or theme. Soft BIAB Gel Overlays and Extensions & Gel Manicures
Strengthen your own nails and promote healthy natural growth while maintaining structure and flexibility
I take pride in offering personalised consultations to understand your unique nail care needs and provide tailored treatments for stunning results. Choose soft BIAB (Builder in a Bottle) for short to medium length nails, to promote healthy growth of your own natural nails. BIAB can be applied as an infill, overlay on top of your natural nail or with medium length extensions, and has a more flexible, natural feel. Then choose from a wide range of stunning gel colours and nail art to make your statement.
Infills are recommended every 2-3 weeks, and complete removal of BIAB involves soaking off the product with acetone.
All our services include a guide of how long your treatment will take to complete, this allows for thorough nail preparation and cuticle care using Russian manicure techniques, which is essential before any gel or builder gel products can be applied. Please note this is an estimated timing only, and will depend on the state of your natural nails, therefore please ensure you allow enough time for your appointment.
If you have any contraindications such as a nail or skin infection, pseudomonas (greenies), paronychia (bacterial or fungal infections surrounding the nail), open wounds or open sores, verrucas or oncholyosis, please refer to your GP before booking your appointment. I will always assess the appearance of your natural nails at the beginning of each appointment and if any of the above conditions appear to exist, the appointment will be postponed to a later date when this has fully cleared or healed.
Please note that clients must be at least 16 years old for our builder gel or gel polish services. The nail plate and surrounding skin only fully develops after this age, and nail health must always come first.
Hard Builder Gel Overlays and Extensions
A hard wearing finish for extra strength and durability, suitable for medium to long or extra long nails
I offer hard builder gel overlays, infills and extensions, which is more suitable if you are looking for medium to long or extra long length nails. Choose hard builder gel if you want long nails for hardness, structure and strength, depending on your personal needs and lifestyle.
Then choose from my range of gorgeous gel colours and designs for nails that slay!
Infills are recommended every 2-3 weeks, and complete removal of hard builder gel involves filing off the product, as opposed to soaking off. This is due to the chemical formulation and tighter molecular structure of this product as it provides a rigid and non-porous result once applied and cured.
Gel Pedicures & Nail Art
Unique and beautiful designs, let your creativity and personality shine through
Treat your toenails to a gel pedicure and allow them to sparkle and shine! Pedicures include shaping, buffing and cuticle care and a gel polish from my wide range of stunning colours. Please note this does not include hard skin removal. Gel polish will usually last up to 3 weeks if proper aftercare advice is followed.
Nail art can be added to any of my services at the checkout. If you have a specific design in mind, you are most welcome to send me a photo of your nail inspo via text, WhatsApp or DM prior to your appointment.
All nail art is hand-painted, I also offer a range of stunning chromes, decals, foils, gems and embellishments. I am also happy for my clients to bring their own embellishments if they have something specific in mind. Talk to me and lets design something unique and beautiful.
